What does a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant do?

 Although most people are aware of the benefits of sound nutrition, the range of conflicting and ever changing information available to the consumer today is often very confusing.   Add to that the fact that we are all biological ‘snowflakes’ and every person is biochemically unique, that makes choices even more confusing.  Although both science and medicine have now recognized that most diseases have diet and lifestyle related components many doctors still don’t consider the ‘whole’ patient and focus primarily on the patient’s symptoms.

As a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant I am trained to help guide you through this maze of information using non-invasive assessment tools that will identify your individual nutritional imbalances and weaknesses. After hours of research finding solutions to your specific challenges and building an achievable plan designed for you, we will take a collaborative approach that will help guide you toward a better state of health and well-being.  We will look at:

  • nutritional choices
  • lifestyle 
  • dietary habits 
  • supplement plan
  • exercise 
  • sleep patterns
  • and more in our efforts to help you achieve optimal health and well-being.

We can review your pantry items with you or even accompany you grocery shopping to make sure your food choices are supporting your health goals.  Our focus will be on giving you the tools and support you need to be successful. Its important to look at the ‘whole’ person and consider how the body, mind and spirit come together to make up you as an individual.   

  After working with our initial plan for a while follow up sessions are generally required to monitor your progress and/or to make any changes that may be necessary. The success of the program not only requires me to understand you as a ‘whole’ person but it will also require your effort and faithfulness to the recommended changes.  After all, the responsibility for an individual’s health rests fully on the individual themselves through their dietary and lifestyle choices.   As Depak Chopra tells us: ”If we don’t take care of our health today; we’ll be forced to take care of our sickness tomorrow.”
